BIOGRAPHY
R.J. is a transactional shareholder in the health care group who advises managed care clients on complex contracting, regulatory and compliance, enforcement, licensing, and business issues. His experience includes: (i) drafting and negotiating managed care contracts between national and international health systems and large health plans; (ii) developing relationships and addressing licensing issues with regulatory agencies in all 50 states on behalf of clients; (iii) assessing risk in mergers and acquisitions; (iv) counseling telehealth start-up companies on regulatory, compliance, internal investigations, licensing, privacy and security, insurance, and contractual issues; and (v) counseling clients on privacy-and-security issues, including drafting policies and procedures and leading trainings. R.J. has additional experience in managed care litigation and arbitration.
R.J. joined Kennaday Leavitt from King & Spalding's health care group. Prior to becoming an attorney, R.J. covered professional and collegiate sports as a journalist in Texas, Colorado, and Missouri, as well as reporting on local government and courts.
