Kennaday Leavitt is pleased to announce the hire of new associate, Kaitlyn Forbes. Kaitlyn represents healthcare entities in a wide range of litigation matters, including payor-provider disputes, managed care liability, and qui tam false claims. Kaitlyn also advises her managed care clients on transactional matters involving complex contracting, regulatory compliance, enforcement, licensing, and business issues.
Kaitlyn received her Bachelor of Arts, with Honors, in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience (BCN) and her Bachelor of Arts, with Honors, in Political Science from the University of Michigan. She went on to attend the University of San Diego School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctorate. While in law school, Kaitlyn was a member of the San Diego Law Review, served as President of the Student Bar Association, and worked as a LexisNexis Research Associate.
Kaitlyn began her legal career as an insurance defense attorney in southern California. She then focused her practice on defending health care providers in professional liability matters involving medical malpractice and elder abuse claims. Prior to joining Kennaday Leavitt, Kaitlyn worked at a national insurance defense law firm, where she gained valuable experience in all aspects of civil litigation.
Kaitlyn is admitted in all state courts in California, as well as the Central and Southern District Courts of California.
