Kennaday Leavitt is Pleased to Announce the Hire of Senior Associate, Patrick Foster

Kennaday Leavitt is pleased to announce that Patrick Foster has joined the firm as a Senior Associate. Patrick will work in the firm’s health care and employment litigation sections.

Before joining Kennaday Leavitt, Patrick spent over thirteen years at the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office prosecuting the most serious criminal defendants as a deputy district attorney. Having taken over 55 jury trials to verdict, Patrick is an extremely experienced and respected trial lawyer. Patrick has prosecuted virtually every type of criminal case during his career. From assaults on children to death penalty cases, Patrick has spent thousands of hours in the courtroom.

Patrick started his career in 2008 as a legal research assistant and climbed the ranks as a deputy district attorney, ultimately handling homicide cases that occurred within the Department of Corrections. As a litigation specialist, Patrick understands the nuances associated with trial work and pre-trial preparation, the art of jury selection, and the importance of passionate and persuasive advocacy.

While at the District Attorney’s Office Patrick also supervised junior attorneys and served as a mentor to young lawyers. Patrick has presented and lectured on various advanced trial litigation topics, including Jury Selection and Cross Examination.
